Since the popularity of vintage, old-school, jerseys sky-rocketed about 6 years ago, Mitchell and Ness have led the way with their incredibly accurate recreations of outdated sports kits. Their success paved the way for numerous others to follow - not wanting to rival M&N for accuracy - but certainly rivaling them in popularity. Nike, Majestic, Reebok, and all the other big players have released retro lines that are linked to above. In many cases the makers did not try to recreate the jerseys, but merely to capture the feel, or essence of the retro look. Don't expect stunning accuracy, but the price is much more attractive if you are on a budget. |
