Greetings from the staff at throwbackjerseys.us!

Actually, the word 'staff' may be a little misleading. The webmaster, site designer, writer, publisher, proof reader, editor, graphics, database specialist, artist, site reviewer, marketing specialist, and traffic analyst; is me, not "us".

This project began in 2001 when I started getting massive amounts of traffic to my hobby site, The Baseball Heckle Depot. Web surfers were coming to my site looking for a 1985 Chicago White Sox Carlton Fisk jersey. I soon realized the search engines had found certain text on my site that matched this query, even though at the time I had no jerseys for sale. I initially looked for ways to get rid of this unwanted traffic, until finally a light went off in my head, and instead of turning this traffic away, I thought why not give them what they want?

I bought an appropriate domain name, and started my new career as a throwback merchandiser slash web marketer. I have joined forces with Distant Replays, Mitchell & Ness, and MLB Shop to compile what I feel is the most exhaustive list of throwbacks on the internet.
